Chili Sauce

20 large ripe tomatoes cut small
6 large onions cut small
3 large green peppers cut small
3 tablespoons salt
3 cups brown sugar ~or~ 2 cups white and 1 cup brown
1/2 teaspoon cloves
2 teaspoons cinnamon
6 cups vinegar

Wash and peel tomatoes. Peel onions and wash green peppers. Dice all (cut small).
Boil 1 1/2 hours. Makes 9 pints.

This was in Tracy Fuller’s collection with a title of “Mom Gregg’s Chile Sauce”.  I’m presuming that Mom Gregg is Aunt Thelma Gregg’s mother in law. Thanks Mom Gregg!!
