Italian Spaghetti Sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil
4 medium onions, diced
3 stalks celery, sliced
4 cloves garlic, chopped or sliced1 cup mushrooms, sliced
3 pounds ground beef
3 cans tomato paste
3 cans water*
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
pinch of red pepper

Place first 7 ingredients in large pot and brown. Drain.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer for hours.

This is from “Grandpa” Everett Fuller. He obtained it back in the old days from a little old lady from Italy.

*I have always added more water, closer to 8-9 cans.
